Last week: This past week finally brought cooler temperatures that we have come to expect during South Florida's winter season. Before that, it seemed like the summer heat and humidity would never end and I found myself humming Glen Frey's "The Heat is On" and pondering the on-coming calamity of climate change. Last year was the warmest year on record and scientists have left no doubt that carbon dioxide emissions are the primary culprit causing global warming. Now that cooler weather has arrived I am hopeful that the Paris climate conference will spur our great thinkers to alter the course we're on. I even started humming Peaceful Easy Feeling.
